NVQ Level 2 in Wood Occupations (Site Carpentry)

The main focus of the course is to demonstrate the learners occupational competence in wood. Applicants MUST be at least 16 years old and have a good understanding of the English language. The course is designed so the learner can gain the qualification while at work and enhance their career prospects.

Course Objectives

• At the end of the NVQ Level 2 in Wood Occupations (Site Carpentry) course, candidates will be able to demonstrate knowledge, understanding and skills in a number of areas including joinery, erecting walls, floors and roofs, and using cutting machines.

Entry Requirements

• Applicants MUST be at least 16 years old.
• Must have a good understanding of the English language.
• Must be currently working as a carpenter or joiner to provide evidence of competence.
